THe button on my kill switch broke off today and a new unit is $90. It looks like only the plastic button is gone.
My question is do you need it? WIth the button gone the push switch is in the out position so it should run I would think but I dont seem to have any spark.
Shouldnt that switch be open to run and short to kill the engin?
Thanks,
Lee

Sounds like you need a new switch. If it ran okay before you damaged it,and now has no spark ...................

A kill switch with the button released (out) is engaged so that it kills the ignition (no spark). $90.00??? Does it look like this (below)? If so, check here on iboats first, and if none is available here, make me a offer at ReevesJ32@aol.com

Your switch is broken. I have one like it on my boat, I will take off and mail it to you wrapped in gold leaf for 90 bucks. I think that mine is a better deal.
Yes it is used but hey I called it Tried and Tested. Just let me know.

By the way
A boat is a hole in the water you throw money at.

Sorry but I had to chime in on this one. Maybe I am in the wrong field.
I live in a small crappy town in Arkasaw with an over priced boat parts dealer who has a jar of lube at the door. I get everything off the internet and have purchased plenty from Iboats the prices are fair and shipping is reliable.

$90 was the quote for the entire assembly which was the mounting and all.
The red plastic button is snapped off,the spring is gone also. I thought that was all that was wrong but the switch does not ohm out right (or my meter is dicked up).
I need the entire thing. Cant seem to find it but I also think the tiller is off a different year Outboard than the motor. I am going down to the boat shop today to nose around a bit.
