How does a kill switch get wired in for a 1985 85hp force.

It should be wired across the two "M" terminals on the ignition switch. One of the "M" terminals should have a White or Black/Yellow wire. The other "M" terminal should have a Blue or Blue/Black wire depending on the year.

also you wanna wire the switch normally open when in engaged(safety lanyard installed) otherwise you'll never get the dang thing started if you wire it normally closed.

My kill switch has 4 terminals. 2 that have m and 2 that have coil. which two do I need to use. I forgot my dang meter at work .

I would suspect that the 2 "M" terminals, but you really need to confirm with your meter. Need to verify which terminals read open with the lanyard connected, closed with the lanyard disconnected. These are the two terminals you want to use.
