kill switch

Hello all

i have a mercury 85 blueband/thunderbolt and the off switch doesn't work on the remotes. Which wire is the kill switch? Would it be the black with yellow stripe wire? And if so is it just earthing

Yellow black is the kill wire.Check connection/ wire condition.
