Kill Switch???

Hello everyone. Recently purchased a 2002 Procraft 21’ Combo with a 200HP Mercury Model 1200413ZD. The second day of owning the boat I was cruising at 3800RPm(s) when the boat suddenly cut off like the kill switch had been engaged. No sputtering no alarms, just dead. When trying to start the boat there isn’t a tone at all when the ignition is turned on initially, but if left on I get a constant alarm and the fuel pump begins to run. The engine turns over great, just doesn’t try to start. I have (out of desperation) unhooked the kill switch and even snipped the black and yellow wire at the computer. The switch still shows a closed circuit at the computer. I did a continuity test at the ignition switch and everything was fine.
