Does anyone know where I can find trim/tilt cylinders for my 1987 King Cobra sterndrive? I found the cylinder shafts bent when I arrived at the marina and my sterndrive would't go down.

Re: King Cobra trim/tilt cylinders

Thanks Don,
This is my first experiance dealing with the marina and there liability. I visited with them Saturday and there response was "we cannot control mother nature (relating to water currents or bad weather) or the fact folks can get on my boat, take it out or just rob me. I attempted to get them to understand that my boat is there responsiblity, to watch it and notify or take corrective actions when something is ammiss. Do you know if there is anything I can do to force them to replace my cylinders? It appears that after a severe storm my mooring ropes stretched and the sterndrive came in contact with the steel beam on the slip. I also reported the weekend previous to the storm that someone had robbed my boat of several items, nothing expensive.

I would imagine they're liability insurance would have to kick in, unless there is some kind of waiver that states they are not responsible for your craft or it's possessions during a storm or act of god. (Amazing we can use god for $$$ but not in some schools........) As far as theft goes, hat should be different. See your agreement if you have a question, or ask them for a copy of one. Good luck. Try ebay, Russell in Worc Ma, like Don said, or Manahans marine in Weymouth, ma. Good luck.

781-335-2746 Monahans
508-791-4917 Russell
