The one by the pull rope is your slow speed needle adjustment. The one on the port side is a cruise control (not what they call it). You can set it for your ideal trolling speed, whip across the lake to a new spot, let off the throttle and you will go right back to your ideal trolling speed. Turning it increases or decreases your motor RPM. Love this feature for fishing. Best of luck. Rick.
