knocking noise when I flush my engine.

when i flush my engine, i hear a knocking noise not consistent but once in a while. good water flow going to engine.

what should i be concerned about.

Is it a knocking or more like a clicking? If your exhaust shutters are worn out they can make that sort of knocking/clicking noise.

If the drive is down, the only thing I can think it might be, is that the gear shift might be out of adjustment and that the dog toothes are knocking.
I don't have the adjustments answers in front of me at the moment but they are in the manual, it's not diffucult to do.
