Know where I can Get Connecting Rods???

I have a 115 Yamaha 1984 or 5 model that is making a tinging sound. It is not a knock but after talking to a few of my buddies they think it is a connecting rod. I cannot find them here locally for less than 200 bones apiece. I plan on putting a stethoscope on it to find the exact cylinder but I want to find parts first.

I suspect your buddy may be wrong. Many times this is wear on the piston pin along with wear on the piston. You are not likely to find or repair without a tear down first. I do have a supply of used rods for that motor and a source for new ones for less than halve that price. E mail me at neudecray@hotmail.com for prices on either.
