putting a 3/4" floor in my SS and would like to go back with rivets to hold it down but I am having a hard time finding ones long enough. Maybe I should counter-sink drill the holes and use the ones like on the 1/2" original floor? Any suggestions?
Been there ...found them at Fastenal...several locations...went to the one in

PS...I did a search for rivits on iboats ...came up with 3/16 1/2 - 5/8 range
3/16 3/8 - 1/2 range
rivits.....not quite long enough to do the job on a 3/4 inch floor
A company I deal with is CR Laurence. You should be able to find them on the web. You can order/buy from your local Glass or Body Shop. CRL has rivets of all sizes, specifically door glass regulator rivots, 3/16" or 1/4" by 1" alum body and alum mandrel, perfect. Dale
Grainger Industrial Supply also has them. Grainger will only deal with businesses, but I think you can create an account online. The benifit of Grainger is that they have store / warehouses everywhere, and you can actually pick up rivets the same day.
