I recently had to clean the carb on a Kohler 6.5 cz23 gen (Carver 355 aft cabin) and realized that the 1/8in rubber vent hose to the carburetor is not connected back to the air intake and just dangles where it would discharge into the bilge if the carb was to flood. To me this seems to be a significant safety concern, but I can't find a place near the intake for it to connect. Any ideas on how to improve, or is it actually safe as is? The hose can be seen to the lower left, just to the right of the hose clamp for the air intake. Any thoughts would be appreciated. thanks CP

Welcome
Looks to me it's Tee'd into another line. Zoom in on middle pic in link

Thank you for your reply. I think I saw that pic when I was trying to figure out where the line went. It is the model I have. On the unit, the hose that appears to be Tee'd in the pic is very short and connects to a second nipple located on the air breather elbow - so they may be connected internally. Makes me wonder if the unattached hose is supposed to be an air supply in case it does flood. My thoughts are to attach it to the air filter housing instead of leaving it to dangle.
