My wife and I took the day off to go fishing Kokanee (land locked sockeye salmon) on lake Chelan in Eastern Washington. This lake is over 55 miles long and over 1400' deep set in a spectacular area surrounded by mountains. We nailed the weather and as it turned out, we nailed the Kokanee. One of my favorite fresh water fisheries. The largest were 18" and the smallest about 14". They eat like socke but a bit more tender. Wonderful smoked.
Sadly, I'll have to work Saturday to make up for my trip but a small price to pay for an excellent day on the lake
