L-Drive 120 HP Compression

I just got a 91 bayliner with a Force L-Drive 120 HP has been sitting for at least 2 years. wouldnt start . i checked the spark seemed fine. shot some mixed gas in to carb wont start not even for a few seconds. I checked compression #1 120, #2 110, #3 75, #4 120 ... now i know there is something wrong with the #3 cylinder but shouldnt the moter start even if it runs poorly???? or is something else wrong????????????
