Not here. While it is not quite last splash in Colorado, it was a spectacular end to summer. Cheers.

Re: Labor Day Crowds?

Nice pics and looks like a nice weekend.

We had clouds and rain for the weekend in the northeast. That was OK though, because the weekend was spent moving our oldest child into an apartment for college, etc.

I now have more experience assembling IKEA furniture than I care for . . . while driving around, the roads were littered with U-Haul vans and trailers.

Around my waters, I noticed that things got 'quiet' a week or so ago. It seems like the populated summer ends around mid-August.

great pics!

just the right amount of boat traffic around here; I like seeing other boats on the water having fun as long as there's enough room for everyone.

Same here in CT, some bad storms came through. We skirted them and spent Monday on the boat. Very little to almost no traffic out there. The clouds and wind kept it comfortable while on anchor.

Same here, but we were only out on Monday. Had probably 8-10 boats in view at any one time, but plenty of room for everyone to play without making traffic-spotting a challenge.

Due to rainy weather and some clouds, our lake was dead! We went out to enjoy a 2hr pocket of sun and had a great time despite it being lonely with no one out.

Glad you guys enjoyed your boating. Beautiful pics. Around here holiday are not the time to be on the water. Even weekends had gotten out of hand years ago. So we'd play during the week after work. Worked out nice for us.

Sounds perfect to me...... As Texas, we avoid going out on holidays like the plague. If possible, we avoid weekends too....

Michigan waters were very quiet this weekend, cooler weather may contribute, but I didn't see a boat on Lake Huron all weekend. Usually very busy, bon-fires on the beach and stuff, not this year.

Gorgeous weather here in Illinois yesterday... sunny, low 80s. I spent the day on the Mississippi and there were surprisingly few boaters out. Between the holiday and the break from upper-90 degree temps, I thought it would be crazy out there. The river and the ramp wasn't busy at all.

The lake was not bad this weekend. We put in on Sunday night and took off Saturday afternoon. Only complaint was people being slow at the ramps and of couse when you are waiting for a lane to open up so you can pull out some one backs a trailer down and you have to wait again. I have to say despite people taking long at the ramps every one was polite and maintained their composure. I did see one boat catch fire on the lake. It looks like they were able to put it out and the boatus guy was right there to pull them back to the dock.

It was busy in Palm Harbor area Florida, inshore was a zoo but once we got past the barrier island we didn't see to many till we hit the beach in the afternoon. On a positive note the boat ramp payment machine was broken...$6.00 bucks saved a day :)!

Trout, sea-bass, Spanish mackerel, Key West Grunts, and Cobia all came over the side.

Naturally at the boat ramp there was a few incidents of people feeling they are entitled to cut in front of six other boats. One guy let it known that since his rig cost over 100 grand (his words, not sure if true) he deserves to go first.... He nearly caused a riot!!!

Eric

The Chesapeake Bay is so big, it never seems crowded, even at the marinas. We were able to score dock space at restaurants without trouble both Saturday and Sunday, with spectacular weather. If this year matches last year, we'll be in until around Thanksgiving...

I was up in Northern Wi. Sat was super busy, Sunday was much better for boat traffic but the weather took a dive so that may have helped.

Not as bad as Memorial Day down here . There was a few spots open at the ramp for parking . The day was great with a few very late afternoon thunder storms . I think the weather man helped us out predicting bad weather all weekend ..
