Ok guys still jumping through hoops down here for my ICC claim on the cabin I'm building. Posted pics this summer on what was done now the adjuster wants individual labor prices on each pole and stairs and landing. Materials I can figure out but have no idea how to figure labor on these items. Just give me a hint PLease. Just want to be in the ballpark:D.

While im not familiar with your situation,
to get labor rates, take the cost per hour to do the work times the number of hours its takes to complete the job.

So basicly, if the job takes 5 hours to do and you say your time is worth $50 an hour, then the total is $250 for that job.
I would estamate the job a bit high, if an insurance company is involved they will try to talk you down and if you are not a carpenter, you will undoubtly under estamate the job anyway.

I do not know about the framing, but for the setting of the poles, call around to contractors that have a digger derrick and get a quote (should be about an hour per pole with 2 men and a truck)
and get quotes from union companys as they are about 20-30% higher than non union.

Yea Rob the guy that finally came and set my poles charged me 50bucks a pole but said," Don't tell anybody cause I usually charge 100bucks a hole." That did not include the termite protection , crushed concrete, skid loader rental or tramp rental. Here is my problem I put up 28 poles and they will only pay for 18 according to original square footage. So what do you think will be reasonable price to put down for pole setting. Bfan it took about 3 days with 3 guys working to get the stairs up but that was with 1/2 a day scratching my head trying to figure out what and how I wanted to do it:eek:. dont know what the going labor rate is here yet:confused:.

Watched my carpenter freind do stairs like that by himself in about 3 days, he poured concrete pads too.
