Lack of gratitude of some people just amazes me sometimes. You try and help someone and not even a response or even thank you. Now certainly I understand that not everyone is going follow advise given, but they should be a little grateful that someone has taken the time to try and help them out and at least say thank you!

I try my best to thank people that have taken the time to give advice or instructions, because I know they aren't getting paid or have to waste their time on me.

Are you talking about here on the forums?

If so, you must have filled out your profile incorrectly.
If you fill it out correctly, you should be receiving a paycheck periodically.
I think you get a $5 check for every 90,000 people you help.

You never did answer the question... are talking about here on Iboats forums or on the water in big ole texas!??

From experience, there are some who just come in and out of the forum for their free bit of advice and then move on.. I have helped some locate parts and model number etc.. you never hear from them again for a thanks let alone if they got the info they needed..

I think someone needs a hug??? huh big fella...?? my arms are out stretched..they are closing in .... feel better? GOOD..now get back to work!!

Didn't mean for it come out the way I stated it, what I meant to say that I really appreciate when people are willing help out.....really I was not trying to be disrespectful at all....honestly!!!

I never expect a thanks in return, actually, after so many years of using the net I have come to give it for granted that I will not be thanked. What does gets me is when you never get an update of how was a trouble solved. Many times I read a long post with plenty of answers, all different and when i'm done reading the op never got back to say what worked and what not...
