My wife and I have been thinking of buying a boat that would no longer be trailerable and would be kept at lake erie. I was wondering about how much per year we would be looking at to have dockage and about how much it cost to put in and haul out plus winter storage. We would probably be looking somewhere around port clinton, catawba island or marblehead area. The boat is most likely going to be a 28-30 footer. Please let me know where it is you dock, about what it costs per year, and the pros and cons of that particular place. Thanks

Hard question to answer.

I just dropped $2400 for 2011 dockage, winter storage, shrink wrap and am a few miles from the area you mentioned. That is probably cheaper then what you can expect around the islands. What does it cost? What kind of amenities do you want? The prices are dependant on that.

If it were me, I'd do some looking online then take the Admiral for a ride and check a few out in person.

You can always go to the upcoming Cleveland boat show. There will be a lot of marina's there, kind of a one stop shopping trip.
