Lake Jocassee, SC trip & water levels

Went to Lake Jocassee last weekend. The lake is low but being such a deep lake boating is still not impaired. they have real long ramps but you cant use the docks and that is a bit of a problem. I should have taken photos of the ramps and docks...

This is one of the falls that you can see from the lake. There are some falls you actually have to hike to see.

I dont have a photo from last year where we can compare. Maybe next trip i will take picture to the same shore I did a year ago... I believe the 28 feet lower than full pool.

Still a beautiful place to visit...

Jocassee is a beautiful lake indeed..............................we boat there a few times a year. Did you see any Bald Eagles during your trip??

Wow... those are some great pics! How far is that from Charlotte? Actually... dont answer that.. I'll google it...lol. Truly beautiful though. I'm definitely going to have to add that to my list!

Is not as closer as I would like it to be, but then, if it were closer we would have a lot of undesirable traffic there. If you have a Garmin map I could probably send you the couple of waypoints I have and my tracks. If they could be of any help...
