large bait tank mounting on transom,,,,,,,,,,,any one with pics of your bait tan

i have a large[13 gal] bait tank that i need to mount i was going to mount it inside the boat and hard plum it ,or now i see alot of people putting them out on there swim steps or on the back rails tied down ,,,,is this a good idea, it looks like either an easy install ,or some one with no room to mount it inside the boat ....im kinda a newbie and am going to be designing it posibly into my floor ,,,,i was thinking of putting a little 3 inch lip around the bait tank that is drained into the bilge area ,incase it splashes etc if i mount the tank in the boat next to the inboard engine cowl........do bait tanks splash alot ,,,get everything slimey etc...............any one have pics of there good bait tank setups
