Last year of trailer mode?

Hi all,

what was the last year that evinrude used the trailer mode on outboards with tilt and trim? My 1979 had it and it was great. I now have a 1983 with T&T but I do not want to ruin the trim by trying it out.

Not sure what you are talking about.--Explain in some detail how your 79 model did that.---Mercruiser had a feature where you had to push 2 buttons to go beyond maximum trim.----Any pictures ???
