PS. I know im a MORON for tryin to use this much horse power on such a small boat but ive completely redone my Transom with 3/4 ply inside and out and make serious braces... and i know its a outboard that i will never be able to use to its full potential but im tryin to go fishing and i dont care lol... thanks for the help in advance

Yes, you can get parts for the Fastwin, Bign, but don't.

There are a lot of factors that contribute to a maker's HP rating of their boats. Believe me, they know what they are doing.

If you simply have to go faster get a nice 9.9 and don't tempt fate.

Good luck. :)

You will be running double what the maximum is. Wanna get yourself killed?

lol i temp fate everyday bro im a horse shoer...but i get your message it didnt make sense to me either to put a outboard on my boat that i could only use half throttle on or risk kill myself or my kid (ol lady wouldnt let me hear the end of that !!) my Pop just gave me the whole " 35 years of me teachin you how to fish and run boats and you aint learned nothing !! " Speach lol... and just so happens i got a chance to get a Mariner 9.8 early 90s model that should be enough for my 14ft topper...

great lookin little motor to.. it sat at the bottom of a river for 3 months still on the boat it sank with lol... mechanic friend of my dads completly COMPLETLY rebuilt it .. even had to bore out the pistons, he says its not really a 9.8 its more like a 10.5 even giving me a 2 year warranty... trading him a pistol for it as soon as he gets here,, and when he leaves I GOIN FISHIN lol..

thanks for the Reality check partner i must have been brain fartin
