Launch 22 Power Options

Colleague of mine really is looking at a lightly used 22 Launch. I love these boats and have been helping him in his search.
He found a nice 2004 22 with questionable power.
The boat has a Volvo 5.0GXI which I thought was slightly low for that size boat especially if he will be doing sports with kids, etc
What do you guys think? I also suggested a DP/BravoIII set-up. This boat had an SX
Any other insight would be helpful.

Take it for a test drive and see how it performs, also might want to check with Chris Craft and find out what the power options were for that model.

Windykid has an excellent thought. You'll probably be pleasantly surprised how much power that motor really has. Also with that SX drive it is a straight swap for a duo prop lower unit. Think you'll need to look at the
"S" model if going that route. Maybe you'll get lucky and be able to do a trade of some type. Make sure the gearing is correct and it's for a V8 motor.

Have that exact combo, though its an 07. Trust me, ITS A LOT OF POWER, it feels like a jet!

I have an 04 22 Launch with a 350MPI Bravo 3 and I have power to spare check with Jacksonville Boat and Yacth Sale they have a few with low hours
