Saw a 25' boat pulled out of the water today.-----Transom repairs caught my eye.-----Center console with twin 150 Evinrudes.------When boat was on the trailer ( too small ) i said ----Those repairs are interesting.-----Owner said " It is OK and I had an engineer look at it ".----What I saw was a transom that was cracked and flexing when he pushed down on one motor.------He said that the Evinrudes smoked a lot and he was going to use 30:1 for less oil.-----I corrected him saying 30:1 was more oil.----Then he said 75:1 to have less smoke.-----I would not take that boat out on the lake here with 6' waves or bigger at the moment.----I walked away chuckling.
