I am getting ready to lay 1708, What is the best direction to lay it. I notice when I cut it it will stretch in one direction but not so much in the other. Does this hel when it comes to contours. When I lay it on my stringers do I run it with the stitching running parallel to my stringer or perpindicular ?

Thanks Guys

I used it both ways and it did not seem to make any difference. It does not lay around corners very well at all.

You could have fooled me! You made it look so easy in your transom video!

Jay,

How many layers did you use on your stringers ? I was planning 2 layers of CSM then 2 layers of 1708. I have my first layer of CSM done but now are thinking of going right to 1708.

Thanks

Yup .. you got that stitch thing going on with 1708 ..

It will move one way easy .. but not the other way.

Use masking tape on your cutouts for the 1708 and lay them in any direction .. then pull the masking tape off the lam when wetting out .. that will help on the 1708 "movement".

I know what your talking about ..

YD.
