So after some reading, the lead shot is used on these carbs to block/cover drill or casing holes. Is it possible for one of these to leak air? Just curious. And what would work as a sealer if one was leaking or suspect of leaking? Thanks

Or just tap them in a bit tighter.

Re: Lead shot

I have had my carbs LEAKING gas out of those spots since I got the motor....my carbs are plastic and it looks like the opening is plugged with a brass ball....I have tried to seal it with instant glue and paper , and it worked to some degree....

it didnt leak much, so i doubt that air going the other way could be any issue at all..

just that i have gas inside the cowling....which i dont like!

I think i hate plastic carbs

Re: Lead shot

I had heard of clear nail polish. Mine are not leaking that I know of but maybe I'll throw some on there just for kicks. What could it hurt, right?
