If it is a mixture of water & gear oil in your bilge, the likelyhood of your ujoint bellows being shot is very high........;)
The good news is that you can do your bellows yourself if you have some tools & mech aptitude.....
The bad news is that you will need to remove your drive & have it resealed by a shop........:(

There is no oil mixed in with the water. It's pure water that's coming in. I see where it's coming in from and it falls like a water fall.

Where specifically is it coming in from?

If your looking underneath the engine where it attaches to the stern drive. You see two lower bolt...In between there. I hope i'm explaining it properly. It has nothing to do with where it attaches to the boat itself.

Your transom could be rotted out. A couple of pics would help.

Here is a drawing of the inner transom plate. Can you indicate where the water is coming from? Remember, water flows down with gravity , so locate the highest point you see water.

It sounds like it could be leaking where the exhaust tube mounts to the transom... exhaust tubes can rot out and leak.

Re: leak from stern drive

You know Zackman. I read here that someone else has the same problem and it came from the annode block. Do you think that sounds right. Tomorrow i will be going up to the cottage and i will fill the bilge area with water and tilt the trailer so i can see where the water will flow out from. I hope that works. I will keep you posted...Any other ideas will be appreicated.
Thanks
