I'm going to look at a 20.5 ft Chapparal. It got loose from the owners dock and banged around on the rocks before he got to it and tied it up to a dock at noon. 8am the next day the stern was 3/4's full of water. They pulled it out professional mechanics did their stuff and the 80 hr engine and fairly new outdrive are back to running excellent. My question is there are no visible holes (I'm told) where the water came in. So I'm assuming it's around or through the outdrive somehow. Any tips to look for.
