Leaking fuel when tilted up

My carbs are leaking quite a bit of fuel when the engine is fully tilted up after running. In the past it always leaked a bit but it seems to be much more than in the past. I'm wondering if the floats are sticking since it sat all winter? Or is there something else that could cause this problem?

Mine leaks also, but I noticed there is a tray located directly under the carbs with a drain hose connected to it, so I suppose it is normal. I don't see how it could not leak being tilted up anyway.

Not knowing what engine you have I can say that the inline 6's will do this if you don't pull the fuel hose and run the fuel out of the carbs. You don't have to run it until it dies just until it starts to miss a little.

As Brielly stated, it is the law of garvity at work which causes this to happen.

Its a 91 135hp black max. Like I said its always leaked a bit but there seems to be a lot more. I'm wondering if I just run it if the floats ( if their sticking) might free up.
