Leaking Outdrive Oil

I'm having a problem with Outdrive Oil leaking out of a vent hole on right side after changing the gear oil. Have any idea why it would be doing this? It's a 2002 Mercruiser Alpha I. Thanks.

Did you split the drive in 2 ???? Was there any water in the old fluid??? foam?? Creamy crap????Lube that went in dark green and came out light green???Charlie

It's coming out the same color that went in and nothing is split.

You are not understanding me Ron.Did you take the outdrive apart??When you do,it is then in 2 halves.Did you do this??? When you took the old fluid out,what did it look like???The old fluid that is.

Are you talking about the plug that is labeled vent?

Which hole are you talking about having oil coming out of it.<br /><br />

At my age, I can't Keep track of more holes like that picture. " Now I know why I pay the marina, and the boat runs perfect everytime I want to play Evil Kenivil."
