(Leaking rivets seem to be a popular topic...)
I have a tragic 12' Princecraft which foam and the occassional foul word keep afloat. Cursed rivets.
There used to be a product available in Canada that was like a solder stick -- you'd use a torch to heat a rivet then touch the rivet with the stick and it would liquify like solder and flow around the rivet creating a temporary (one season?) fix. Does any one know what this could be?

Re: leaking rivets

That was/is a pseudo aluminum welding rod.... Want a better fix... tighten the rivits and use Gluvit. (search this forum for it) Pricey but worth it. I just did the interior seams/rivits on my aluminum boat. After 2 coats I doubt it will ever leak again.
