Just found an almost new v belt worn completely down in 3 hrs operation, also saw blackish water spray residue in engine compartment and some dripping. Replaced o-ring in impeller housing but no difference, water dripping and spraying from the v belt.
My take is that the water pump is leaking "backwards" along the impeller drive axle.
What to do? How do I fix this, or do I have to get a new pump? Please help, thought I'd be boating this weekend.
