New to me 2000 Yamaha 200hp saltwater series .I checked out the Grady white Adventure that it is hanging on from stem to stern and bought it.What I missed is a very slight trim fluid leak.Veeeeery slight or possibly intermittent but slight. Thought I had some trim fluid to top it off but I didn't. What I had nearby was a bottle of Bars bottle jack oil /fluid with leak stopper.Since my trim hardly needed any fluid to top it off I figured what harm could it do to use it.Took maybe an ounce or 2 tops.To my surprise the unit no longer leaks. It has been a few months so I cant believe it is cured(Lol) .Just thought I would share my experience in case it can help someone else make it thru a season without having to make a mid season repair it is worth a try. This post is not meant for some of our overanalysts on this forum that ALWAYS have to add their 2 cents and state " This is not a fix and the repair should be made correctly" so those that know who you are just read this for what it is worth and I hope it helps someone get a little more distance out of their tilt unit .
