Thanks! Talked to the shop today (boat is in and having impeller and lower unit serviced) and he said parts are near impossible to find for one that old, and to just keep throwing paper towels at it. Thoughts from the iboats braintrust? Googling this issue seems to be an approach that lots of other guys take...
The pump you have should not be that hard to repair. It is easy to remove from the boat and re seal it.
Ignore the lower post it is for the earlier style Prestolite pump.
