Aside from my stalling problem, I recently noticed that when I pump my fuel bulb, I see some small drips coming from the back of my VRO pump. It may be a hose or may be a cracked housing I do not know yet. It the pump has a small lead when I pump the bulb, could this possibly be the cause of a stalling problem at full throttle?

Re: Leaky VRO

Any leak in any part of the fuel delivery system is not good. You need to determine the source of the leak and repair it. Too hard for me to guess if it is a hose or a internal VRO issue, but sounds like the input but you just have to look close.

Re: Leaky VRO

same thing on mine, i also had to replace the carb bodies on the stb bank they were warped and leaking also. When I replaced my VRO Ordered just the fuel pump minus the VRO and now mix my own oil/fuel. Didnt want to chance it. there was actually nothing wrong with the VRO , the boat was on the trailer at the ramp and the fuel pickup in in the front of the tank, bulb was soft and wouldnt stay primed. Had 1/4 tank on 85 Gal. tank. Found out this info on the fuel pickup after the new pump was installed. ooops!
