Well I bought the boat after sittin a year or so and it's had this miss all year. It seems to be running great abouve 1200 RPM. I have replaced all the fuel lines from the tank to the VRO, New filters and water seperator, New Evinrude Bulb, pulled the carbs, cleaned and blew out all the jets and orfices, did the lync and sync as described in manual, checked the timing, sprayed starter fluid around the motor checking for air leak, replaced the plugs, Checked the spark.......It does it when cold or warm. If i put it in nuetral and idel up above 1000RPM it stops. Most of the time it starts missing lugs the motor down and stalls it out. It always starts right back up.

1991 200GT Johnson with recent rebuilt powerhead with excellent compression.

pull your silencer and while idling use a shop towel (if the adm. is out any towel is ok) block the air flow to each carb one at a time.
When you find the offending carb the idle will be great and the sneeze gone.
then comes the hard part the hard part, figuring out why
good luck Mike

Re: Lean Sneeze , Miss at idle

do a quick search for 'sneeze', there's a lot of discussion on this. You might find something that helps. I've only had the issue once and it was a air leak into the fuel pump (a faulty cap on the old VRO fuel pump oil inlet). Fixed that leak, and sneeze went away. I have no idea if that will help you, but there's other advice in many previous threads. Good luck.
