I am thinking about making the switch to LED lights on my trailer. It's no problem finding submersible LEDs for the rear but I am having a hard time finding submersible LEDs for the side markers. My trailer has the 4" oval side markers now. I really don't want to drill new holes for a different light package unless the new package will cover the old holes. Anyone have a source for for submersible 4" oval LED side markers?

Matt, everywhere I went only has the side marker LED's that you see everywhere i.e. Wal mart, Academy etc. I'm using them on both my Crusader and Whaler trailers and haven't has a problem yet. Additionally, the Side marker LEDs on the Whaler trailer have been used several times in salt water and I've never had a problem with them.

While I imagine it is possible, so far, I have not encountered ANY led's that aren't completely waterproof... I recently went on a search for led's for my latest trailer... after shopping a dozen places I finally settled on "truck lite" brand surface mount rectangular lights at a local (semi) truck parts shop. they were right at $11.00 each but I talked them down to $6.50 each... They are BRIGHT and while they don't use the same holes, they DO cover them.

another good place to find differant led lights is a truck stop. yes they are a little pricy but the lights are a "sealed unit" and have a range of sized from 4" circule to 4" oval in amber 2" amber and red (marker lights). next time your are on the interstate (of a night time will be easier) look at the trucks around you and take a notice at all the differant lights
