Left my transom ladder down!

Had a perfect day... flat water, not much breeze, temperature quite mild for this time of year, followed by an easy retrieval and first time perfect back-up into the driveway (which slopes uphill). Then... scrraaappppe! Arghh, I'd left the transom ladder down and scuffed the lowest rung - taking off all the powder coating and putting a flat in in. <br />Two hours of cleaning it up and a visit to the powder coaters and she's back to normal, but boy do I feel stupid! As the old saying goes: more haste, less speed.

Do that routinely, always remember after we are underway...to date no damage. I have an idea to put a photocell sensor in w/alarm to indicate the when the ladder isn't present in its folded position upon starting the motor. If it works I will post it.
