left or right stringer, please help

this is an easy one, the left is one of the old ribs, not making contact with the hull and the right is the new one touching the hull, and hopefully reinforcing it, please let me know what you guys think.
im only afraid the the new rib may get pushed tru the fiberglass hull and cause some damage.

you don't want a hard joint there, use peanut butter, or this http://www.stickwithpl.com/Products/detail.asp?PLProductID=14

you can also bed your ribs with this. then glass them in.
