My leg won't go up or down. When I press it to go up(since it is in the down position), all I get is a click sound coming from the relay on top the motor. It is a 350 chevy and the leg is a OMC. <br /> So, I was thinking it was like a truck or car you just use a screwdriver and bypass the relay and the leg will go up. Well, let me tell ya..I was getting little puffs of smoke when I touch the screwdriver to the different connections. I stopped when there was this HUGE puff of smoke. I thought it was going to ignite. Oh yeah, the battery started to smoke also. Another close one...Whhhewww<br /> Anyways, there are two relays on the top of the motor. I was assuming one was for up and one for down. Even with a friend helping, with him connecting the screwdriver to the posts and me clicking the lever for the leg to go up , all we got was smoke.<br />Is there anyway I can lift the leg up without buying another relay, as I sold the boat today. The guy knows what is wrong with it, but I thought I would try to lift the leg for him if possible cause he has to tow it a distance tomorrow.<br />I do appreciate any info...
