I have a 9.9 long shaft. The cooling tube is bent. I cut it off and I'm gonna try a compression brass fitting to extend the length of the tube to fit in the water pump. I just don't know how long it should be past the extension housing.
Anyone able to help?
Thanks

Past the extension housing? Are you extending the length of the engine from standard shaft to a long shaft?

The water pump extends into the exhaust housing, therefore the water tube should be X inches (X") within the exhaust housing or extension housing as per the diagram below. Do the measurement at the water pump to obtain the "X" inch figure.
