Sure hate to make this post! I just purchased my first boat ever. It has a outboard Yamaha 150 VMAX motor on it. Of course I have read the manual. I have also read the strict break in instructions. Is there anything else I need to know or do without fail? I have no experience at all when it comes to outboard motors. Your suggestions and feedback will be greatly appreciated.

is this a brand new motor, or used? do you have any service history? when the impeller was last changed. any other service. what year is it? model #? what boat? need more info. are you brand new to boats or just outboards? Do you have any experience with other peoples boats, other than just riding in them or being towed? take a safe Boaters course, learn the rules of the water. Don't join the thousands of others that have no clue what they are doing. always stop if someone looks to be having engine or other trouble. you could be the next one needing a tow to the ramp. here's a link for beginners. wiating for your answers. http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=138594
