liberator cutty help

I have a 201 4winns liberator and in the bow of the cutty i removed the cushions and i want to cut an access panel to store my extra life jackets what i want to know is there any risk of damaging the hull? can anyone help me with this

Are you talking about cutting a hole in the "boxes" under the cushions?

If so I would say it probably isn't a good idea. They are probably filled with flotation foam and are also probably structural members in the hull design.

It may be worth drilling some small inspection hole to confirm this though.

Thanks for your input i think i will drill a test hole if you have any other ideas feel free to share them with me. I am from Michigan(Bay City) area but moved about 15 yrs ago.
