I am trying to put the tilt cylinders from my force outboard on this old thing that doesnt have t+t. Should be easy enough since it has the same mounting for the pump. I will not be able to use the trim (wont fit) so I will cap off the lines ging to it so that only the tilt operates. My problem is that the pin that goes through the top of the struts has no sort of nut or anything holding it. I tapped it a couple times with a hammer and it didnt move. How does it come out? I dont want to hit it harder and risk breaking something unless thats how it is supposed to come out.

If you are talking about the Force, you use a correct fitting large punch, and drive the pin, shearing off the holding pin.

Nope, the force is easy. It has a bolt at top and bottom. The rude has pins top and botom. The bottom one is held in place with cotter pins but the top one fits flush with nothing obviously holding it in place. Thats the one I need help with, Top pin through lift supports on 74 rude.

If you are speaking of the two shock absorbers, the two top pins have cotter pins on the inside. Push the pins out from the inside after removing the cotter pins.
