lifting a 1983 .115 h.p. evinrude onto the transom

whats the proper way to lift a 115 evinrude onto a transom. do i need an eye bolt or can i use nylon straps. anyone have any tips. thanks in advance.

The lifting point is the center of the flywheel. There's a couple of tools available for this or you can build your own. I use a crowsfoot puller and a 5/8" bolt with a lifting eye welded onto it.<br /><br />c/6<br /><br />Hooty
