Light Problem on Old Mastercraft

I have a 1971 Mastercraft trailer for a 14" aluminum Starcraft. I replaced the springs on the trailer this week and painted the trail. I left all the lights wired but just took them off the trailer when I painted. Now that I put them back on, the drivers side tail light (blinker and brakes) only works very dimly and when I step on the car brakes (Honda Pilot) the dashbaord lights dim which did not happen before. The other lights all work fine. Also, I notice that on the driver side, with I put the blinker on, the forward orange maker light blinks which it did not before and on the passenger side where the tail light is nice and bright and works properly, the forward orange marker light does not blink. I thought this was a ground issue due to painting the light brackets but I have scraped off the paint and think I have a good ground now so am very confused. Thanks.

My first thought would be recheck the ground
