don't know were to start.in fact it won't start.cleaned carb and fuil tank &fuil lines.has spark. new spark plugs.any one know these motors?

Go to the engine FAQs, Roger. Do "Outboard won't start" troubleshooting.

Let us know what you find.

I got the same engine over the winter but have not tried starting it yet...

Start with a compression check to see if you have anything that has hope. Then pull the flywheel and check the coils. They are almost always bad (cracked).

I got this motor last winter also. well i cut my hand yesterday. so it looks like i won't be working on it for a day or two.thank god my wife is a nurse.she closed it up with skin closure strips. thay work just like stitches she is alot better at repairing than I am. now if i can just get her to look at this motor
