Does anyone know where I can locate a limit switch for a 1990 50 Hp Force?
It is located to the left of the carb along the side of the motor. Has a button in the middle of it, that is pressed in when the throttle is engaged in gear.
I may have found my problem with my motor, maybe.
jas,,,petey...

Re: Limit Switch?

Your Force does not have a rev limiter.
It does have a Neutral interlock switch, it is activated when in neutral, and allows the starter to engage. Has yellow wires , one connected to the starter relay, one to the ignition switch.

If for some reason your motor is different, the place to get parts is a Mercury dealer.
