linear acuator for 1997 formula

hi guys it been awhile i have 2 problems
1) i need a linear acuator for engine hatch on my 1997 fomula sun sport 33ft twin 454. i beleve it is on the way out.(struggling and sounds like gears
are on there way out.
2) steering is very tight like something is binding or hung up. any insight.
looked to see but did not find anything unusual.

The Steering is probably a Bad cable, or corrosion where the cable meets the transom...

i was hoping i could narrow it down to the proper accuator that is specific to my boat.i thnk it is called accu lift.

Trust me, you don't need the same exact brand as the one you have.....Formula (just like every other boat builder) uses parts from lots of different suppliers.
Just buy one with the right lengths, voltage, pin mounts, etc and it will be fine.
There are scads of sources for those.
Rex Marine has some nice ones....I buy from them from time to time.
