Transom has been cut from outside leaving a 3" edge. I will be going back with plywood core. I'm hoping I can get a list of materials for each stage. My apologies btw, I know this topic has been beat to death but see various methods, some resins aren't compatible with all mats etc. I just want to get a shopping list and be done.
Inner skin is in tact but a few cuts from wood removal : What resin and mat type for a reinforcement?
Plywood prep : recommended steps I can do to prep while on the sawhorse
Plywood to inner skin: Here's where I really need help. What type adhesion to inner skin? What type filler to put in 1 1/2" channel before plywood is inserted?
Outer skin to plywood adhesion: same as above
Outer skin to existing transom 3" edge: What type resin, how many layers and types of mat? Do I put filler in where the cut lines where?
Finishing topcoat: the boat will be getting all new topside paint so what's a good method to be ready for paint?
