list of repairs for 1986 Suzuki 115 that has been sitting for two years.

I hope I'm posting this correctly. I already have posted concerning this engine. I'm not sure if I keep going in the same thread, or start a new one each time. Please advise if my etiquette is lacking.

This what we're doing to this engine to start: Cranked engine, sounded strong. Saw fuel pouring out of one of the carbs. After two years of sitting, I'm not surprised.
Remove carbs, and I guess , head? Ordered carb kits, gaskets, fuel lines, spark plugs, oil, and fuel filters.
Changed fuel separater, new tank with new fuel, new oil in injector.
Getting ready to install all of above when they arrive, clean carbs, reed valves look good. Checked compression.Good. Is there anything else I should look for that I'm forgetting?

Sounds like you have it under control, digger.

While doing all that routine maintenance you should also replace the water pump impeller and change the oil in the gearcase.

I went through the same thing last year when I bought an '86 DT85 that had been sitting 5 years. The carb overhaul is the biggie. You also need to rebuild the fuel pump and check your fuel lines for deterioration and cracking.When you are all done, don't forget to service the lower unit. Pay attention to metal chips and any water mixed in. You will also want to lube all of the grease fittings on the motor with a good waterproof synthetic grease. Good luck with your project !! Also, don't forget to drop the lower unit and rebuild the water pump, very important !!! If you need another prop, (EDIT: PM bowhunter)
