This weekend I was out in the boat as usual. I was running WOT for my 260 Hp/350 (23-foot cuddy cabin). The RPMs are around 4600 with the 19 pitch stainless prop. Cruising along at 45 mph, I noticed the speed decrease about 5mph and the RPMs drop to 4100/4200. All crap did something blow up? I lifted the sundeck and seen water squirting from the exhaust manifold between the manifold and where it goes to the lower unit Y pipe.
My question here is do I have another problem that I am overlooking? In addition, why would I loose power?
I checked the oil and there was no water.
If this could cause a decrease in power, how?
I am looking to go to exhaust through the hull instead of the foot of the motor, is it worth it?
Thanks for all the information.
